Most of you have probably seen that Audiopaal launched a practice agenda competition yesterday.

The practice agendas are very similar to blogs - so my question to you in this topic is:

Do you follow any blogs (any kinds of blog on the internet)? If so, what are you looking for in a good blog? Is it...

* tutorials

* Gossip

* celebrity blog

* humour

* Cool videos & images

* Useful links

I have to admit that I don't really follow any blogs (except the ones at GMC) - so your answer could probably help me, as well as the GMC:ers participating in the new competition, understand how to make a great practice agenda! smile.gif

I dont really follow blogs other than the practice agendas, so based on that, the most important thing for me is a good structure, frepuent Updates and links to lessons, articles, videos, etc.

I am trying to make a 'proggresion track' agenda. I want to share my advances. I dont know if it is cool for someone to read, but at least will keep me motivated.

I think that links and tutorials are the most appealing things to a blog/agenda.

And I dont know if this is the right place, but in the calendar it is almost impossible to notice which days have posts (i think the number is bold when there is a post on that day, but I am not quite sure). Pehaps a better way to highlight the days would easy navigation.

I follow the celebrity blog(but only in terms of what new movie is coming out),and all the new music equipment that comes out on the scene.And I read some blogs from some smart musicians here in Serbia.For example,there is a very smart guy here that call him self "Rambo Amadeus" and hi is a "jazz-turbo folk-mega-super-star"(as he call him self smile.gif ),but his blogs a bout the world and world politics always makes me laugh.

This should be very useful to people - and is of course the main reason we got our agendas! smile.gif

I like to see peoples character show in their blog. Just a list of facts and statements are hardly better to read than something that makes me feel like a real person (who i might actually get along with) wrote the article. So for some that means so dry humour maybe some sarcasm (Well in some of the blogs i read).

Also lots of links are always fun! I want to know whats out there on the internet without having to do the hard work looking for them- so links are always great.

Also- a question. Giving the reader a question to ask themselves that is relevant to the topic of your article is a great way to make them feel like they are a part of your blog.

Agree 100% DR.

When reading a blog I want to be entertained as well as enlightened. If I can connect with the blogger on some level then I'll keep coming back.

What do you guys think about frequency of article updates? How important is that to get "addicted" to a blogger?

By the way - hehe I just found a good one laugh.gif

I like a lot of very dark humour and action packed blogs lol. Nothing like:

"I went to the park today to see Mandy, my adopted duck. I took her bread yesterday and she had a twinkle in her eye. I felt sorry for the lonesome lady and I did a little dance in celebration of my new found companion"

I'm not really into blogging, but I will do my best to make my Practice Agenda useful to other people besides me.
That will probably include tips and tricks, links to other sites/lessons/whatnot.

Start by playing something - a bend, a riff, a scale, a song - very slowly; if you make a mistake, start over; do this over and over, until you can play it flawlessly - and I do mean flawlessly - many times in a row. Next, gradually increase the tempo. Eventually you'll be flailing like a madman.

I guess it depends what type of blog. Something like a practice agenda for me would have to be informative and should contain some detail into what they're doing. If it's just a few lines of this week i'm practicing blah blah then to me that isn't very good but that might just be me personally.

I hope some of you guys like my practice agenda and find it useful for making some of oyur own smile.gif
