I'm just getting back into guitar playing after about a 12 year break and I need to pick up a little speed. I wasn't fast the first time I quit playing and I'm not any faster after a 12 year hiatus. ohmy.gif

Right now, I can play the basic patterns from Kris' speed picking lessons at 110 BPM (16th notes). I guess I'd like to get up to 140-150 BPM 16th notes for now.

What's the best use of my time? Is working specifically on speed picking 10 minutes a day going to help me progress? Is 60 minutes a day counter-productive?

Can someone give me an outline of what I need to be working on each week or each session?

Thanks.
