Hey guys!

I thought idd give you a little impression of my bands music style smile.gif.
These are pretty old recording, and some things in the songs have been changed a little. They have been recorden in a simple bedroom envirement, with the help of Cubase so don't expect pro quality.

Also idd like to comment on the solo's in these songs. Im not much of a improviser (esspecially back then haha). When we recorded these songs there were no solo's written, so all I did was just play "something" to fill the space. I still need to record the real solo's sometime wink.gif.

Tell me what you think!

Greetz, Don

Donny I was looking forward to this kind of post.

I like solo in Like a Melody - it has development repetition motives , it works really well. I don't know if the sound of guitar for the solo was the best one , but thats personal taste at the end of the day wink.gif

Jealousy I like as overall song better ! Nice structure to it, some nice harmony going on. One thing that I would take out is drums hi hat on every beat (or 8th notes depends how you look at it).
The solo part is not perfect in this one , I think I heard a flat bend in there but I am sure when you do another solo it will fit perfect now.

Overall great work with band man. Please upload more recordings , I enjoyed listening to it wink.gif

Sounds cool man, I would advise to make a bit more dynamic arrangements, like when chorus kicks in, the volume should increase a bit, or drum pattern should be more changed. This way the chorus will be more accented. Mix is OK, but it can be better, bass needs to be more stronger.
Soloing is good, but a nice melodic structured solo could be even better. I think if you repeating one theme throughout it will sound catchy and fun, so try something similar.
Great job with the band mate, I hope to hear more of your stuff soon! smile.gif

Thanks for the advice guys biggrin.gif. Soon I will record new versions of the solo's and we will also try to mix the volumes a bit better. We are no pro's so its a learning proces for us haha. These tips are great for me and my band wink.gif. I am glad you guys dig the music!
