Task 42: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Palm_Muting_16th_Notes/

Gentlemen, you have done well with your previous riff based challenge. I invite you to work further on your palm muting skills with this mid tempo lesson.

Just like the Warrior thread, there's not much to explain as it's quite basic.. so jump on in and feel the crunch !! cool.gif

Deadline is next Friday 23rd November or your family will find out about your My Little Pony collection.... ph34r.gif

Of course... you'll have no idea how they got underneath your bed and you will strenuously deny you knew anything about it.... but it will be too late by then...

Hey man, you'll hate me but your first take was much more accurate with the timing as here you're quite in front of the beat. Maybe you had the drums too low whilst you were recording ?? I often do that sometimes and realise when I start playing that I can't hear what I'm playing to tongue.gif

You have definitely improved the chord changes though.. there's not loads of space between them now - well done !

You had 2 rythm tracks recorded by the sound of it which were both in the centre.. if you have 2 tracks then you can pan one to the left and one to the right to widen your sound smile.gif

wink.gif Your right Ben you always are. I was really ticked of at my tones and have been for a while so I tried to download some fee plugins and get something better. But I don't like this tone anyway and I was fighting abit of latency with it also. So I've had a really brain freeze. I've since gone and found someone on utube who uses the same pod farm I use and he gets some nice tones. There is such an art in getting a good tone.

On the space between the chord changes on the first take I put them in there. I thought it was better for some reason.

Thanks for your thoughts by the way Ben smile.gif

Cheers

Cool, thanks for the update Z. I did notice that you had a higher distortion tone for your latest take on Task 43.. is that one of the new ones ? It works well and will help you in the Tasks with higher gain riffs etc.
