wiping it on your pants seems to be a guickie solution Mine is a severe case, you could actually see sweat drips Do you guys know of any long term solutions? Playing with wet hands is very uncomfortable and it's shortening the life of my guitar strings. I'll take a look at this talcum powder ...
This talcum stuff is not safe man: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talc Maybe this will work: http://www.drugstore.com/qxa1067_333181_se...t_is_drysol.htm |

I mean if you put it on your hands before playing. Maybe you can keep a guitar cloth hangin from your belt or front pocket or somewhere that you could just wipe your hands after every song. I usually hang one over the front of my jeans when I play to prevent the back of my guitar from scratches. I wonder if that would work for you? |

This talcum stuff is not safe man: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talc Maybe this will work: http://www.drugstore.com/qxa1067_333181_se...t_is_drysol.htm I meant Baby Powder as I thought they were the same and wanted to make sure you knew what I was talking about since everyone on here is from around the world. Hope you find something that works as I have a similar problem from time to time. Geez!! For the love of all that is good and great never use Talcum powder! I just checked the link out and here's the safety excerpt- Safety Several studies have established preliminary links between talc and pulmonary issues,[1] lung cancer,[2][3] skin cancer and ovarian cancer.[4] This is a major concern considering talc's widespread commercial and household use. However, no conclusive study has yet been made to determine either the toxicity and/or carcinogenic nature of talc and the long history of safe use suggests that these concerns are unfounded. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) considers non-asbestiform talc, that is talc which does not contain potentially carcinogenic asbestiform amphibole fibers, to be Generally recognized as safe (GRAS) for use in cosmetics. In 1993, a US National Toxicology Program report found that cosmetic grade talc caused tumours in animals, even though it contained no asbestos-like fibres.[citation needed] Scientists have been aware of the toxicity of talc since the late 1960s, and in 1971 researchers found particles of talc embedded in 75 percent of the ovarian tumors studied.[citation needed] This post has been edited by SDMF75: Jul 25 2007, 04:54 PM -------------------- Guitars - Schecter C1-FR Hellraiser Black Cherry
