Floyd Rose Device Or Fixed Bridge ? |

Will you use a floating tremolo a lot? If not there's no reason since it doesn't benefit the tone.

I prefer Floyd Rose but not floating, blocked one.
That way I can still do all those dive bombs etc AND the most important thing is ultra fast restringing. Restringing but also putting broken string back in use. It has happened to me many times even during gig, string breaks on the bridge (that's where it breaks most often btw) and it takes me like 1min top to put it back, no ball, bridge isn't floating.

It really depends on what you want to play with your guitar.
Looks at Steve Vai and what he can do with his bridge. On the other side, many guitar players are using a fixed brigde right now (like Paul Gilbert) instead of the old "trendy" Floyd Rose. As always the best solution is to have many guitars with different bridges
