Jimmy Page. The solo in this kiked my ass so hard i couldnt walk for a week,
The song is great too, but for now lets concentrate on the pure sex coming from jimmy's marshall stack....

(im suprised page hasnt been mentioned much on GMC, he practicly single handedly invented rock guitar)

Wow, Pagey is way better than I thought - but then I have only really listened to Led Zep IV and no live stuff - anyone know any good live albums I can get my teeth into?

How The West Was Won is a great live album. I think it sounds better than most of their studio work.

I'm more of the Tony Iommi-guy.

Page is still ranked as one of the cool guys, but Tonys riffs are so heavy yet not complicated. Exactly the sort of riffs I love.

biggrin.gif Yes page rocks. i could be called compeletey biased (just glance at the pic lol)
But as far as pages studio work goes, it cant touch his live stuff. If any aspiring guitarist dosent own the live zeppelin DVD (the 2002 one, dont think it has a name)

ThEY NEED to buy it, some truly amazing footage.........

(And Steelkonsm, Iommi is my 2nd fav guitarist! he is amazin! just look at the "supernaut" riff, my fav riff of all time)

Lucky you!!! You have a great time ahead of you, if you start listening to Led Zeppelin that is wink.gif

If you're too young to recognise Page you might at least know him from Puff Daddy's song "Come with me", he's doing heavy riffing from "Kashmir" there biggrin.gif
