MBOX 2 is an excellent choice for that money, it cost around 500$ and it comes with Pro Tools LE. smile.gif

I can also only recommend Emu products. I only have the 1212m though, but I'm quite satisfied with it!

I would recommend M Box2 as well, you will get free ProTools LE with it, so that is really a good option. Other good option is 1212m, it is lot less cheaper but still great, has great converters, can be upgraded for more inputs and you get Cubase LE for free. If you don't have good audio monitors, maybe 1212m + some good monitors for the rest of the budget could be a good choice mate.

Hey Saint, is there any particular reason for not going for firewire? I've been using firewire sondcard forever and never had any problem. I think you will have better option if you consider using firewire, such as apogee duet is extremely good.

Duet is extremely interesting sound card, besides Apogee makes one of the World best converters.
Can you tell us more a bout this card, how she behaves in recording,in relation to DAW's..etc.Thanks.smile.gif

Saint could you tell me what kind of things are you looking to do with music?
Sound cards can go from 50 to couple hundred $. You might not need the most expensive one -it is all matter of usage.
