Hiya Dango,

I use the Ik Stealthplug to record my guitar to my PC. I'm assuming that you have installed the required ASIO drivers that come with it.

It does work with the PC. I'm currently running Windows XP with service pack 2.

You should be able to hear your guitar through your pc speakers. Just check that you have installed the stealthplug control panel and if so check the output volume is not muted or turned down too low.

As for your recording software again check that the correct ASIO plug in is correctly configured for the Stealthplug. Btw what recording software are you using? Usually it should automatically detect it. If not shut down your pc and BEFORE you turn it back on make sure your Stealthplug is plugged in to your USB slot.

Hope this solves your problems

I cannot get this to work. It appears you have to use a patch cord from the stealth plug headphones jack to either the computer line input on your soundcard or into your active speakers. You cannot use stealthplug as your input device and your soundcard as your output, unless you have a Mac? It appears (according to forums I've been reading) Windows does not support multiple asio devices?

I am using Cakewalk music creator (much too complicated for what I want). What recording software are you using. I want something very simple that will work with stealth plug. I am using Win XP service pack 2. Unfortunately this plug and play device appears to be anything but mad.gif

Sorry to hear you are still having problems sad.gif

I think you might be right with not hearing your guitar through the pc speakers. I generally monitor my playing though the headphones which are plugged into the output socket on the stealth plug.

I currently use Sonoma Riffworks package for recording which is simple as you can get for recording guitars.
Its cost about £65 and you can download it from the web site. If you want you can download a demo version to try but you won't be able to mix the songs or convert them to a wav. file.

Here is the link to the website Sonoma Wireworks

And here's the page for the Demo version Riffworks Demo

I think riffworks was specifically designed to work with the Stealthplug so you shouldn't have too much trouble.

Best of luck smile.gif
