It was ok, he was in the background playing rhythm mostly, had a 10 second solo which was good but it was kind of weird to announce the band that way when he really was kind of just there. It was a little weird how they announced it as he was just sitting in... he's good friends with Ben Harper. As for Mr. Morello.... I am a HUGE fan. How he can make a guitar sound so unlike a guitar is fascinating to me. As for his projects RATM for me is first and foremost. He was not only the guitarist but the "DJ" so to speak (the "scratching" effect for Bulls on Parade is a good example) As a fan of hip hop I loved how they meshed the genres and were truly unique. Audioslave was great as well. Not as "Hip Hopish" as RATM which appealed to many. Cornell was a nice addition as I always enjoyed his vocals. Really like their Live from Cuba DVD. As for his "Nightwatchman" stuff it's a little TOO political for me.
