Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

What is it about red-light fever? Recording audio is normally bad enough but two red lights for audio + video??? WTF?! Not perfect, but my wife's threatening divorce if I play this any more times in search of the perfect take. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Hey man biggrin.gif Hope your lady will stand some more of this one because I am coming up with some observations wink.gif

Now, mainly, your timing is good and you have a good flow with the parts, but the main focus point here, would be the bends, which in some spots do not reach the intended pitch and the vibrato which should be vertical and wide, instead of classical - the horizontal version which you are playing in this take smile.gif

If you take these aspects into account, I am sure that you can have a great rendition of this piece! And your lady will be pleased to hear it too! biggrin.gif

Cheers!

Cosmin

Hi man! Each of us knows about the red light fever! So don't worry! Keep on practicing with your camera on and it will slowly disappear. Your take is good and besides the adjustment in techniques like bending and vibrato, as Cosmin said, once you feel more comfortable with the camera you will be able to play it with much more feeling. Just keep on going! wink.gif

As for the musical aspect Your takc seems to be nice and smooth. I think some bends, at least the very first creates some distraction. But the timming and the tuning is pretty nice smile.gif I would suggest to work on some very popular vibrato issue - You try to make it with your fingers instead of the whole wrist. I do not want to be in Your shoes when You'll tell Your wife that You'll need to play it some more biggrin.gif cheers!
