I think you are confused as well. hehehehe. smile.gif As far as your question, I"m sure there are folks in our Govt trying to ban all sorts of things but now your diverging from your original thesis quite a bit. That's a hugely vague statement as to "folks in the govt trying to ban.."
The video you posted was just all about "where does it end!!" I've been hearing this "they are coming for your guns!" for 10 years or so now. Still mostly hype used to get donations to the NRA. But still, if you find any info on folks passing a bill on the ban please let me know smile.gif I won't hold my breath though. Probably gonna have AR15s forever smile.gif

I agree - the only thing these attempts lead to is temporary ammo / firearm inflation.

People get scared and start to buy and hoard, less available at higher prices.

But it always cools down cool.gif

Although 22lr is super scarce around here still rolleyes.gif

The firearm in question was banned for 10 years (1994-2004). Fortunately that law had a sunset clause and further attempts to reinstate it have failed due to the overwhelming opposition to it by Americans. There are other firearms that are banned from import to the US however.

I personally am against any type of weapons ban. I know this may sound extreme. However, I really do think that if a law abiding, tax paying citizen wants to buy a fully auto 50 cal weapon, and become certified in it's use, he should be able to do so smile.gif I also think that, JUST LIKE BRITAIN, we should allow people to buy TANKS and drive them on the street if they so wish.

Responsible gun/weapon/tank ownership, isn't the problem IMHO. I've known gun collectors who own hundreds of weapons and have never fired at a person, just game and targets. It's not really the "good guys" that we have to worry about it seems. Still, some folks here feel very strongly that relieving people of their right to keep and bear arms would be a positive thing. They have every right to think and vote that way. I"m just not one of em smile.gif
