youre welcome mate, thanks again for your input! I forgot you had an EJ strat lol! Well i really liked your sound on this so I guess that re-afirms my decision to get one! Excellent choice! Took me a while though to setup the pickup heights together with the right type of strings (using pure nickel DR strings currently, to add some warmth to the bass strings) to get exactly the sound I am after. -------------------- "Don't practice until you get it right. I usually use two mics, one pointed close to the cone of the speaker and one in about 2 meters distance. Then it's possible to blend the two mics into another to get the preferred sound, since the distance mic is darker and more "roomier", I use to have it at a lower level than the other one... Also it takes away some of the "attack" in the sound and makes it sound a little smoother.... Btw. I read that Billy Gibbons actually built a ROOM of amplifiers, with about some 10-20 mics inside..... how cool is that ?? (I think he can afford it, though... *lol* )
I'm glad I was right about you using a mic'd amp! The sound was sooo tube in the take!! like the way you use two mic's to get a reverb too I suppose?
