The Shure SM57 is possibly the most popular dynamic instrument mic ever. It's used a lot and it's also recommend to people routinely. Yea, I wish I can test out mics here. smile.gif The NT2A actually has 3 polar patterns where you can switch to. Not sure if thats a good thing. I don't like multi purpose items, they tend to compromise on quality. But it does look like its pretty popular so I will see if I can buy that.
