Boss has a Death Metal pedal now or are you just getting it confused with Digitech or DOD Death Metal Pedal.

I only used two different distortion pedals in my life, and both are awesome in my opinion. One is THE classic among distortion pedals, the Ibanez Tube Screamer, the other one is Marshalls Gov'ner II. Both rule in my opinion and give you a great sound.

Marcus and Marcus mentioned these two pedals, and I heard only them in play, so I can testify.
- Boss Metal Zone 2 - versatile edgy and scoopy boss metal, best suitable for trash - Marshall Guvnor II - more compressed, and warmer sound, suitable for classic metal Regarding Metal Muff, I've only heard good words about it, and literally only good words, so I suggest consider trying that one out as well. -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

Yup, the tube screamer rules big time, I still have 3 of them, even though I don't need them with my Boogies, but who knows, maybe one day I want to play my Marshall again and then I will need this bit of extra gain
