ok, ive just started to work on sweep picking using pavels "sweep picking basics" lesson.
i can do the right hand movements fine and im currently practicing the left hand movement. i can play the left hand excersice at around 60bpm perfectly and im going to continue to work on that so i can play it faster. what im wondering is if it would be better to try and play the notes while trying to get faster or to just play the excersice and then start sweep picking properly later on when i can do the excersice faster and better? i think either way will work but i would like to hear other peoples opinions because i dont want to use my time inefficiently Thanks Chris -------------------- Guitars: Epiphone Les Paul Standard w/ Dual EMG 81 Pickups. I agree with FretDancer - just follow the lesson exactly how i do it there and you can't go wrong

Slowly Slowly Slowly Slowly Slowly -> did i mention SLOWLY??? sorry - i had to hahahahaha
Well the purpose of that lesson is to start it really slowly and combine 2 hands straight away to get them in synchronization. Good luck m8! Keep us informed on how it goes -------------------- "It isn't how many years you have been playing, it's how many hours." -- Prashant Aswani "PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!" -- Michael Angelo Batio Check out my video lessons and instructor board! |
