Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Stamina Lesson - Speed Bursts by Muris Varajic

I finally got my pedalboard hooked up to my computer and hopefully guitar sound should be better. I get slightly rounder smoother sound with my humbucker guitars but it was a nice challenge to fast pick with this rather twangy single coil sound. Cheers!

Hi Emir!

Great to see a new take from you. This lesson is definitely not an easy one, but it's a very good choice. Also, it would be great if you would keep this in your practice routine.

At this moment you can't manage this lesson in a good way. You don't play all the notes clean and clear, you have missing notes, you have some hands sync issues and also, the timing during the 16th and 16th triplets is not very good.

To improve your playing, you should start practice this lesson at a slower tempo. Don't increase the speed until you do not play all the notes perfectly clearly.
Also be careful on accents. This will help you to match the 16th and 16th triplets in a perfect way.

0:12 - be careful here because you skipped the D note (19 fret) on the G string.

Your take is very promising, but unfortunately, for your today's approach, I can't give you a high grade. To be honest, your take deserves between 6 and 7 because it sounds too sloppy.
I will give you a 7 hoping that you will fix all the issues that I pointed out and you will come back with a new approach.

Keep up your awesome work! smile.gif

Very cool!

You do display that you have control of this technique at a high tempo. With good hand sync and the right type of [two way pickslanting] picking.

The problem is consistency, there are several places where you miss notes due to hand sync issues. It seems this happens a bit more frequently in the stretchy sections (which is normal).

Since this lesson is about picking tone / hand sync - we're listening for every little technical mistake here.

Since you already have this down - I think you just need to spend a little bit more time make sure you can play the slower tempos with perfect tone and accuracy and you should be good. You get a 7 from me.

Hello Emir! It's good to see you again!

I had forgotten this excellent lesson to work on alternate picking and stamina. You have a very good base with this technique but the speed of the fast parts of this lesson is quite high.

The main problem with your shot is that your hands get out of sync on some of the faster sections. That's what you have to work on now.

Ideally, you should work in small blocks. I talk about this in this lesson that I recommend you check.

Your technique looks good, and your audio is enjoyable too, you just have to work on minimizing the movements as much as possible when playing at high speeds and keep the sync between hands.

Keep it up!
