Hey mate.

Thanks. I see what you mean. I was thinking of am9 but i played maybe the G instead of the A what makes it a cmaj7.
YOUR ears are the best

I also had my doubt about the high bubble guitar and also the high synth lead what you mentioned.
Maybe i will change it but then i have to arrange al the vids again

Im trying to make more arrangement in the future and try different styles. Then i will send you files earlier in the proces i think smile.gif thanks for your patience.

Ps. And im gonna listen more to some funk parts and go for a rematch next time

Hey mate.

Here i recorded the modern rock example lesson on full speed.
What do you think of it?
I think i will spend one more week on it with some focussed time and then move on.
I notice that i want to focus more on some writing myself so have to make choices smile.gif

Hey mate,

i practiced the difficult licks with metronome more and recorded another take and put it in tghe REC.
I thinks this one is better. It isnt perfect and i know i can do better if i practice some more weeks but i want to spend my times on other things now:)

Hey mate.

What you said make sense. I think i practice the Wrong way because i learn the song, play it and then forget it.
I have trouble remembering it and internalising it.
I think for me its better to train Small Technique excersises for 1 week with the metronome. Like hybrid picking, sweep, legato etc. And improvise over backing tracks and make kg own. Then maybe learn one or 2 licks and use them. Maybe i remember it that way and keep motivated.

Im also gonna start with my bands again so need to learn those songs and Dont have much time for gmc lessons.

Thanks mate

Yes, that sounds good. You can get a lot from GMC lessons but you really need to go deep with the lessons. One thing that always helped me is to learn a lesson (or solo) and then improvise over the backing track with a combination of the original licks, variations and my own stuff. The Jamtracks included are very effective for this purpose.

Hey mate,

how are you?
Im working on 2 new arrangements and as i said im gonna involve you from the beginning smile.gif

One is a phrygian dominant progression where im using my new valhalla plugins and they are great.
I now did the slow part. After this i want to play with some distortion and i have a nice progression in mind but this was the first idea i made today. So i need to arrange it with lots of other stuff.

And the country i recorded fast some rhythm guitar and the bass.

Curious what you think. So the upcoming time im working on my technique, improvisation and some arrangements smile.gif

Have a nice day.

Hey mate.

Im glad you liked it. The progression that is in 6/8 stays also in E hrygian dominant but i start in the Dm7.

The progression is:
Dm7- Cmaj7#5- Bm7b5- E7#5
I don't play the full chords with the guitar. In the second chord i play an E triad over an C bass. I get this chords by the harminization of the Harmonic minor scale and looked at it from mode 5.
On both progressions my goal is just to make an arrangement without vocals. I will use guitar and maybe other instruments. On this way I try to implement the theory i learned and i want to learn licks over it and improvising over it. In the future i will try to solo more vertically.
But i also love different styles so try to arrange different styles so i learn to use them and i corporate it in my playing.

IT is funny what you said about the country progressions. In the past i did an carribean vibe arrangement and i used midi guitar. So i played the steel pan with my guitar and also the brass section smile.gif

This is the arrangement i made then smile.gif

But this is what i want to do more so ill keep you updated smile.gif

Nice mate! Everything sounds very good. The key is consistence. The more you do, the better you'll become. It's awesome to see your evolution just by comparing that caribean track with the new ideas.

For the country track, I recommend you to explore and listen more music in this style so you get ideas on arrangements, and also instruments sound. For example, this album:

Hey mate.

Thanks for the feedback. This was just a jam over the country progression. I will shorten the solo and use the best parts smile.gif
With the travis picking i practiced it slower but sometimes i want to go too fast so im glad you mentioned it :B

Here is an improvisation of a lydian track i was jamming on. I learned 3 licks and the rest is improvisation. I think if i listen back to it it could be more melodical.

I also worked this night on my phrygian dominant arrangement. In the first part i recorded 4 guitars who play the same only the roots and the 3ths and 2 guitars an octave higher.
i also made an idea for the solo and quickly record it. now i have to polish it. i also made a last part which is more metal. there i want to make a real nice heavy metal sort of solo.

Hope you like it:)

Thanks a lot mate. I know my Technique need some more work smile.gif
Im still working on legato on a daily base and also on my picking in the bootcamp. I notice improvement but it still needs work to do smile.gif i try to focuss on less hand movement but its an never ending challenge 😎

Thanks for the feedback mate. I notice that i really like to make own arrangements and creating parts because then i can apply all the theory Ive learned.
I will keep working on the recent creations and will send you the updates when i worked out some more smile.gif
Thanks for your inspiring words about the transition. Greetz mate
