Hey guys! There are lots of European metal bands considered "Folk Metal" or that has folk influences. I like when bands incorporate sounds from their own country because that makes them different and unique.
I would like to share a project that mixes Argentinean Folk with Metal. I think that the closer that GMC has been to this is with Gerardo Siere's folk lessons. Check this out: -------------------- My lessons

I love the guitar music from Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay. It has actually been a huge influence for me. If you ever want to see in my opinion the best guitarists in the world, check out a show on youtube called, "La Guitarra Y Sus Interpretes." It is from Uruguay, and of course in Spanish. It is very generically produced, but the talent is world class. I've been compiling a collection of music from the region for many years, and it has been a great source for actually hearing how the pieces are performed. Latin American rythms are the most difficult to master. Nice to find someone who loves our folk here! Yeah, playing Latin-American folk styles is not an easy job. Check out this amazing guitarist: -------------------- My lessons

I love Cacho Tirao. He died not too long ago. Check out this piece. I've worked on it, but I need to clean it up a lot. Cacho makes it look so effortless. Must be the Argentine beef.lol
