If I don'tget to do that I get seriously sketchy. I usually wish I'd brought my guitar on vacation. Playing guitar is alost a meditation. Even just practicing shapes/scales can get your mind off of everything and allow you to focus on symmetry, form, etc. Repeating scales is almost like repeating a Mantra during meditation. Its like I forget my habits for a little while and play like a different person with different ideas.
