that is some serious awesomeness. wow really inspired.
I am attending international game architecture and design next year ( if I get accepted ) and need to work with
maya , do you have experience with 3d modelling ?EDIT allright that was a stupid comment didn't saw the full video
damn you know it all. how the heck can you manage to kick ass at guitar and be such a visual artist.
Well shucks thanks!
We used MAYA @ Turner Studios where I worked. It's loads of fun
I like AFTER EFFECTS too but it's more of a compositing/layering tool than a 3D creation tool. Although the new version of After Effects works in 3D space and will allow you to import 3D animation data from MAYA!
GAME SCHOOL is the new FILM SCHOOL they say where creative folks go to get sharp! Enjoy it! And learn some code base! C++, Visual Basic, just pick a spiff one
The secret to getting goot with animation/fx/guitar, pretty much anything, is simple. PRACTICE! PRACTICE! PRACTICE!
If you are willing to exclude certain things from your life, so that you can focus on getting really good at any given thing, you'll notice you can make better progress than those around you. Of course there is a price to be paid. I'm not married, or even dating just now as I still spend wads of free time writing/composing/practicing instead of going out and such. I need to add some of that back in
I tend to focus too much and for too long actually which can have it's own drawbacks believe it or not. So strive for balance if at all possible
Todd
