Like Micke said, it's a safe bet, cause Sweetwater is a great company, but I'm not sure if the pricetag will be lower man. Better do some calculations, or better yet, call their customer support. They are great and will be more than glad to help you with any questions that may arise.

Thanks for the answers. The fact is I was trying to look for an amp with build in effects in order not to buy a pedalboard...

I've seen a couple of suggestions for a tube amp. I wouldn't go that way if I were you. Obviously you want to keep your budget and you're not too familiar with amps overall. Plus a solidstate amp will just go on and on and on for years without maintenance.
A tubeamp has a maintenance cost as you will have to switch to new tubes now and then. Especially if you get a used amp first thing you might have to do is to put new tubes in. There are in fact good and bad solisdtate amps. Ever tried one of those that come with startes packs? That'd be the very far end of bad solidstate amps. If you get one from Line6 I think that's a fair amp that will last you quite a while before you start craving for a tube amp.  Check out the Line6 Spider III or Flextone, or why not the Spider Jam? Then there are others from Vox, Laney and such that will be good for you. Marshall, not so much imo. Lots of sounds at a fair price with the Line6 amps I'd say! I'd probably go for the Vox Valvetronix 30
 A great amp with built in effects and a sound that's amazing for it's price range.. I like this better than Line6, but whatever tickles your pickle It also has a power level control, which allows adjustment of the power amp's output wattage I've owned it before and it sounds great! |

Why not combine both tube and solid state technology and get a nice small hybrid amp?
It will be better then solid state, not better then tube amp, but it will have certain amount of nice transients that can be found in all tubers. As paal nicely suggested I also believe that Valvetronix 30 is a very good buy for the price. I've played it several times in studio and it is very nice amp for the price.

maybe you should have a look at the vox vt30.
I have it myself.. and it really makes a great sound! rock on
