Vai is always fiddling with his guitar vol control and has a volume pedal on his board, so I guess he does his level matching that way and argues that an additional knob is unnecessary and would be an additional device in the signal path.

I'm interested in this amp as a possible future purchase, so I am reading this thread with interest - think I'll get a low wattage device firsth though - I might even build it myself.

There's a company that sells amp circuit designs, parts and even full kits to make in the UK Andrew called Torres. Don't know what they're are like I'm afraid as I've never used them but could be worth a look.

Only doubt I have present about the new Legacy is the timescale. I'd be willing to wait - but I don't know for how long unsure.gif although I'm assuming if Vai is talking about it it must be close to market cool.gif .
