Lead Guitar Metal Distortion Pedal

Hey, I'm looking for a distortion pedal for metal. I play lead guitar, so the sound has to be able to cut through the mix at soloes (the rythm guitarist uses the krank pedal).

So any suggestions? I want a thrashy, sharp tone, but I also want it to have a powerful sound. Maybe something similar to what Children of Bodom uses.
