Powerdrive from Stockholm. Ran across them yesterday while searching for a local company in my area called Steelroots. There albulm is called Steel Roots.. laugh.gif

Sounds like there mixing some old school metal with more modern progressive stuff. To top it off, from what I understand, there's only the two of them. Sorry if they have been posted before, ran a search but did'nt show up.

Check'em out and let me know what you think....I'm diggin "Laid To Rest" atm.. smile.gif

Awesome! biggrin.gif
It's a "virtual band", right? (It says one of them lives in Spain and the other one in Sweden)

I think I read somewhere below on their site that they have one studio each and send material back and forth to eachother. Something very doable today, imagine the old days sending cassette tapes which was the best one could get from the simple homestudio before the floppy disk came biggrin.gif

STEEL ROOTS : ALBUM UPDATE

Hi folks, it's been a while

Well, I'd like to give you a little update about our debut album Steel Roots, we are getting many emails lately asking for a release date so here we go:

Steel Roots is 100% finished. And it's too damn good to be true.Seriously.
We know that we have created a monster that can take us to the next level.

We have been working over the last three weeks on new drum sounds and Rob has done a great work with the mastering of the album so the have the promotional copies ready to be delivered to websites, radio stations , metal magazines AND Record Labels , so expect some reviews pretty soon.We are not in a hurry and we like to advance step by step.

Our first idea was to release the album independently, using Itunes and other common distribution channels. But we have changed our minds. We won't be releasing the album until we get signed, because this album deserves to be distributed properly and let's be honest, a band like us needs a label behind our backs to get the much needed support. Please be patient .....nobody wants this album to be released more than us but this is a clever move for us if we want to become somebody in the music industry....So it may take a while until Steel Roots hits the streets - maybe not, who knows? - but the fact is that this album will be be like a damn tornado once it's released!!!!.......in the meantime, you will be able to listen to new tracks here on myspace and we will post also all the incoming reviews
Later
Miguel & Rob
