Great topic!
My first amp was one that I bought from a friend. It was a "Sunn Studio Lead 100". That thing was LOUD, but no matter how loud you went it was CLEAN. No distortion whatsoever. I didn't know what distortion was until I got an MXR Distortion+. Heck biggrin.gif , even after that I guess I didn't know what distortion was, cause I was in heaven with that pedal. biggrin.gif

Haha, I totally hear you on that.. my first amp was a tiny little thing, called a Badger Piccolo. Totally clean as well. I didn't know what distortion was either until I got some Ibanez distortion pedal (and it wasn't a tube screamer either). I can't believe I actually found a pic of one...

Although mine eventually got covered in stickers from guitar magazines smile.gif

Haha, Ben, you should totally buy that one! For nostalgia's sake.

I'd love to still have my first amp around. If nothing else just to plug in and hear how far I've come in my tone!

My first amp was just awful. It was underpowered and had nothing but feedback at any volume above 5.

Ahh nostalgia smile.gif
