Your First Amplifier?

Apr 19 2011, 02:25 AM	Accomplished Tone Master Posts: 757 Joined: 12-April 08 From: USA, NV	Great topic! My first amp was one that I bought from a friend. It was a "Sunn Studio Lead 100". That thing was LOUD, but no matter how loud you went it was CLEAN. No distortion whatsoever. I didn't know what distortion was until I got an MXR Distortion+. Heck , even after that I guess I didn't know what distortion was, cause I was in heaven with that pedal. Totally clean as well. I didn't know what distortion was either until I got some Ibanez distortion pedal (and it wasn't a tube screamer either). I had a 2x12 to sit it on, that thing was stupid loud and sounded garbage! This is my current set up (Warning, guitar porn imminent!) L to R is my Jaden Rose Series 2 Pro, Jaden Rose Original Series Hardtail, Eric Johnson Strat, Les Paul R8 VOS, amp is a very rare Matchless Independence head and Matamp cab with G12k100's.
