Oh, and the white pickguard was removed already... looks nicer without it actually, and the knobs and the current pu's were unscrewed (but still sitting there)

Cool! I was thinking of upgrading my Ibanez with Evolution pu's sometime soon. Pavel said it's the best frikin' pu's you can get, not his words exactly but that's how I read it tongue.gif

But for this I though the Super Distortion and the Breed would make a nice mix for a hard rocking guitar.
The Evo's I belive are more sofisticated and versatile like changing their characteristics with the volume control etc.

So, I've been milling and soldering... First I out the Breed in the neck and the Super Distortion in the bridge. Their charcteristics were so wide apart and I just fell in love with the Breed. Talk about PHAT and clean sound. omfg WHEW!!!!

I moved the Super distortion to my LP's bridge and the LP's bridge pu (which was hot) to the neck. A pretty hot LP now laugh.gif

The Charvel still has the Breed in the neck and now I just have to get the bridge Breed and I have to get a new DiMarzio 5 way multi switch to make most use of the pu's.

laugh.gif And the Floyed Rose guy since I took my (licenced) FR all apart and cleaned every piece. Have go get some spare parts for it before it's ever usable again hehe no my fault. It was the allen screws that holds the saddles that were bad quality.

And a few tips. I cleaned the frets and fingerboard with stålull and all metal parts of the FR. Then I oiled the fingerboard with paraffine oil, belive it or not but natural lemon oil is great for it. tongue.gif

Oh.. and when I deattached the neck from the body I saw the guitar was branded "made in Japan"... it's the good stuff biggrin.gif

Man you'll have to drill that guitar to make those humbuckers in place of single-coils....ouch!

I like EVO's - just the right sound for me, perfect clean sound, great lead sound!!

Anyway good luck with setting it up! Post a pic of your guitar when you finish the rearrangement! smile.gif
