Questions about theory and practise

Right now my biggest problem (well, I AM getting better at it) is that my fingers dont always end up where they should on the string that is played and of course the tone doesnt sound right then. So if theory turns you off and makes you practice for 30 minutes instead of an hour. Then skip it!
