well, after playing around over the backing for a couple of hours tonight I recorded this :

You did a very good job! I can hear the melody idea and the whole track came out very nice! A few suggestions 1) I would like you to get out of your comfort zone and turn down your distortion it will help you to develop your dynamic and improve touch very fast! 2) For the solo I liked how it's started but I was missing development try to use different octaves and build it up towards the end! The good thing would be do do a question and answer technique for this one! I can explain what does it mean if you are not sure! well I did try to implement your suggestions
