I've seen this band a couple of times and I've been quite interested in finding out more about the guitar in the photo below.

via Flickr.

It's a Les Paul style body but it has a sound hole in it like it's a hollowbody (or more likely a semi-hollowbody). It sounds like one too....kinda odd through a Mesa Rectifier setup.

The headstock (photo) says ESP LTD but I haven't been able to find it on the ESP site. Could it just be a straight-up custom job or am I not looking for it in the right place? Its condition looks to good to be some kind of discontinued vintage model.

I'm not in the market for a new guitar anytime soon, but I like to be ready with options in case I become ready. I'm not normally up for Les Paul style guitars, but this one's interesting enough that I could easily make an exception if it's not hideously expensive.

(updated to fix the link that shows the headstock)

I don't think it's a custom build, wouldn't say ESP LTD in that case and if someone would put a sticker on I'm confident they would just have it say ESP, not LTD (budget model)

I've never seen it before

EDIT: What's the name of the band, that may help?

It's called ESP Eclipse Semi Hollow

Now let's see if I can find proof to back it up. laugh.gif

Oh it was not easy, I had to turn back time and run some intergalactic tricks but I made it laugh.gif

I don't think it's a common guitar sice we both had the same page almost

That's it! Different bridge, but close enough. You're the man. Seems kinda hard to find. Maybe probably under US$1000 though.

No problem! Don't seem to be very common guitar.
