Yeah great to be here biggrin.gif

My favorite bands are:

Mercyful Fate --> Hank is great guitarist.
Infected Rain
GWAR
Rotting Christ
Slipknot
Endseeker

Randy Rhoads is my favorite guitar hero!

Regarding my new guitar...still waiting mad.gif DHL sucks! But it's bulky freight so that is the reason why it takes a bit longer to arrive.

Ouch I feel your DHL pain! 😩

Well I can say I have not listened to any of these bands (with the exception of Metallica covering Mercyful fate). Feel free to share some vids you think might get me on the right path 🀩

But either way I don't think it will be a big problem since you expressed interest in whammy bar tricks via pm, and that is something I love doing!

Maybe you can share a video which you think is representative of your current level and give me some more pointers as to what you would like to learn? I'd like to get an impression of you before I can start designing a path.

Cool gig, you don't happen to live Powerwolf? I absolutely love them and that Mercyful fate video gave me some vibes of them!

-----

Ok so let' hone in on the type of whammy usage I love to do - which is more of a reverse dive bomb.

First you need to grasp the concept of pre-pressing the bar before playing the harmonic.

I show it in part 1 here:
https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Whammy-Lead/

So - your first task would be to replicate what I do in part 1 at 00:07 and 00:12.

Feel free to get back to me with a video recording. I would say give it a maximum of 7 days.

Looking forward to hear back from you mate πŸ‘Š

Ok cool! I will start when my new guitar arrives(still waiting mad.gif )

When she comes i will post pictures! And then starts the 7 days countdown OK ?

btw...do you mean the vid in the "main" tab or the "1" ? I watched it a bit and i am totally confused.I am 50 years old and need it very beginner friendly.

P.S:
never saw powerwolf, will do next. Thanks for the tip!

I am just referring to part 1 not the main video, so that we can hone in on the whammy technique you wanted to learn.

Tip: bridge pickup and lots of distortion makes this easier in the beginning!

Awesome mate, I'm looking forward to it!

Though I have to point out it's physically impossible to fail in a learning environment - which is good πŸ€—

Very nice mate, and that new axe is just yummi 🀩

It seems like you might be playing regular notes here? For your next video feel free to shoot much closer to the guitar so I can see your technique more in detail.

In this video I explain natural harmonics:
https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/search/harmonic/

Can you confirm you are just lightly touch the string - and not pressing it down so that it actually touches the fretwire?

Ok I see -

When you have watched the video feel free to give it a shot using harmonics. It will make the whammy diving come to life πŸ‘Œ
