hey I know I've Posted a few Things here on the Forum, But I never got the Chance to introduce myself.

My name is Sam

I'm 18 years old,

I have been playing guitar For 5 years now.

When I first started playing I was really into Acoustic Classical-Folk style playing.

I played that style mainly for about 2 years,

Untill One night I was Flipping the Channels on TV, and I came across a PBS special, : Crossroads Guitar Festival.

And I watched this Video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmRBvX1mQBw

From that night On I instantly Became a Clapton Fan, And I changed my whole Playing style to Blues Rock.

And that was about 2 1/2 years ago.

Since then I went on to Learn as many CLapton/ SRV/ Hendrix/ Zeppelin songs, As I could get my hands on.

But After a while I came to GMC, Because now I want to start focusing on the More Techincal side of playing guitar.

I posted a clip of me playing,
(Please note, I recorded this a Long time Ago when I was 16, I got the Backing Track off the internet, and the quality sounds like Crap, I was Experimenting with Delay-didn't turn out so good- but It was the only thing I ever Recorded.) So listen if you want.

SO far everyone here in this community has been Cool.

GMC is turning out to be one of the Best in the Internet.

I hope I learn alot here.

Heh, yeah.

Back then I was Really into Clapton, (and I mean REALLY).

He is still my all time favorite player.

But Lately I've been digging Eric Johnson and Kristofer Dahl. cool.gif

"Fact is, nothing in the world bores me more than gear...If I played thru your rig, I would still sound like me. Van Halen would sound like Van Halen. Brian May...etc. Very early in my career I decided to focus on creating music and not being a guitar tech. Being a good guitar tech is a very different and extremely difficult job, so why not leave it to a pro?"
