Tell me if it is any good, I know I forgot a few parts and made a couple mistakes but didn't feel like doing another take. I always screw up when I hit the record button and am suprised was able to get through the licks. I am trying to better my technique so any critisism would be greatly appreciated, thx.

EDIT: After watching I realized I must have been tapping my foot along with the beat with my foot on my desk so it caused the whole desk to shake.

Pretty good!
With a little bit more practice you can nail this solo perfect smile.gif

Tip:
Try to play less "staccato", in other words:
Let the notes ring out more, especially with the chords and turnarounds.
Also try to keep with the fingerings Gabriel shows you wink.gif

Good luck and keep recording/practicing smile.gif

Alright thx man I have always had problems with that "staccato" thing. My speech teacher said the same mental process occurs when I talk and when I play guitar because I have speech problems where my words are really "staccato" as well, especially the first word in a phrase.'

And yea I messed up pretty bad on the 2nd turnaround, last phrase, but since it was the last part, I was just like "oh well"

You need to work on your bending a bit. It's out of pitch. And agreed about the stacatto thing, just take your time a little more, you sounded like you were in a hurry.

Other than that I liked it smile.gif I love this lesson myself, it's helped me a whole lot. And I'd like to think I have it down pretty well, so if you have any trouble on any parts lemme know and I'll see if I can offer any advice. It definitely helped me a lot smile.gif Keep at it!

Cool, overall it sounded pretty good. The bends just need a little bit of working on.

Haha, love the facial expression at 0:34. smile.gif

Overall nice job! It takes guts for a beginner to even post a video. I know I haven't yet and if your join date here is any indication of how long you have been playing you are doing very well. I practiced this lesson off and on for a long time, but have not revisited it in a while so thanks for the reminder. It is a great lesson. I did notice that you are not doing the part in the 5th video correctly, or at least not like Gabriel does. He is barring the 7th fret, which gives it more blues sound, to me anyway. It is tough to do but sounds much better. Alright....!

Thx again for all your feedback guys. Yea I started I guess around March 07 but didn't actually get extremely serious until about 5 months ago. No telling how much further I would be by now if Runescape and World of Warcraft didn't rule my life for 4 years...word of advice, NEVER play them.

It looked good to me. You covered most of it well, and more importantly you had the guts to post it and ask for feedback. That attitude plus practice will speed you on your way.
