Gabriel's Blues Lesson 2 By Me

I always screw up when I hit the record button and am suprised was able to get through the licks. I am trying to better my technique so any critisism would be greatly appreciated, thx. With a little bit more practice you can nail this solo perfect Tip: Try to play less "staccato", in other words: Let the notes ring out more, especially with the chords and turnarounds. My speech teacher said the same mental process occurs when I talk and when I play guitar because I have speech problems where my words are really "staccato" as well, especially the first word in a phrase.' And agreed about the stacatto thing, just take your time a little more, you sounded like you were in a hurry. Other than that I liked it I love this lesson myself, it's helped me a whole lot. And I'd like to think I have it down pretty well, so if you have any trouble on any parts lemme know and I'll see if I can offer any advice. It definitely helped me a lot Keep at it! I know I haven't yet and if your join date here is any indication of how long you have been playing you are doing very well. I practiced this lesson off and on for a long time, but have not revisited it in a while so thanks for the reminder. It is a great lesson. I did notice that you are not doing the part in the 5th video correctly, or at least not like Gabriel does. He is barring the 7th fret, which gives it more blues sound, to me anyway. Yea I started I guess around March 07 but didn't actually get extremely serious until about 5 months ago.
