Well im no expert, but id say if you left hand isnt in sync with your right hand youre far from "up to speed" with your speedpicking wink.gif I would suggest watching kris's metronome video and apply useing the metronome to your practice always. This will get both hands in sync, after hours and hours of practice you will see good improvment.

look man it can take a hell of a long time and it can take no time. depends how you practice how long you practise and who you are.

another take good care of your fingers... everytime the get a bit of tension or pain massage them or wiggle them a bit to stimulate blood. try some basic legato to srengthen and speed up your left hand.

on the g string: 5 h 6 h 8 p6 p 5 h 6 h8

play that over and over again for aminute without stopping and than increase time. with no metronome aternating between very fast and regular speed staying as clean and clear as possible.

same thing with this : 4 h 6 h 7 p 6 p 4 h 6 h 7

(those are petrucci exercises)
good luck. wink.gif
