Just Need Some Help I Guess...

I have been playing guitar for about 2 years now, but have never had a lesson or any kind of instruction. It has basically been me in front of a computer soaking up as much as i can, and for the most part I feel like I have done pretty well. Im sure there are some very important things I have missed on the way, but I guess at least im making progress. my alternate picking is shabby, when i build any speed what so ever i sort of have this breakdown and i start hitting strings i shouldnt hit, my pic might get caught on a string, or i cant keep the picking in rythem ....... alllssoo, sometimes my left hand has a hard time staying n sync with my right. id say as soon as i get about maybe 110 or 120 bpm things start to just fall apart. im not afraid of the work, but its what i need to practice that is the problem. so any advice whatsoever would be greatly appreciated. thanks so much!! But you can get some smaller one, it would also work, 2-3 octaves. As for guitar, there are MANY options for that price range. I'm currently on the vacation, out of country so I suggest you to post the same question in main gear board in the forum to get more suggestions and help.
