> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Gert!

Yes, the quality of the sound is improved and your take can qualify now for grading.

I understood that you made this take before reading and seeing our feedback. So, unfortunately, the mistakes that we pointed out earlier are still there.
Try to apply everything Kris showed to you in his amazing feedback video.

Also, try when you play this lesson, to not shorten the notes. In order to fix this particular detail, you need to take care about the right hand position. These two things are related. You can't have a good picking technique with a wrong hand position.

I'm sure you can fix all the things that we pointed out. Just give yourself a little more time between takes and you will have good results.

I like the fact that even if you have some technical mistakes, you succeed to play with a good timing. That's why you get a 6 from me.

Here is a quick video about palm muting technique. You are currently not using much palm mute and using your picking hand for string muting. See if you can try what I'm doing in this video. You should be able to mute all of the strings with your pick hand palm and still be able to strike the strings at the same time. Your hand is currently floating above the strings which is not ideal.

6 from me!

Cool!

You are shortening the notes in order to give yourself time - this affects the sound of the perfomance.

Overall you nail the concepts taught. It's an 8 from me.

Keep working on the details we have pointed out to you yesterday!
