Hi all,
I'm thinking of getting a new axe lately, and I keep hearing about these wonderful thin Ibanez prestige necks, so I might give them a try (But I know nothing about Ibanez!) One question: the "prestige" trademark refers to the neck or to the whole guitar? I understand these are the best Ibanez models, and I want this guitar to be a keeper. But I took a look at Ibanez site and there are so many models that I get lost... so many numbers and letters, I don't know which are the ones I have to look for. This is what I'm looking for: - Fixed bridge (I bet that narrows the choice!) - Slim neck (prestige series?) - Low action with absolutely no fret buzz in any fret position - Strat looks - Good quality pickups H-S-H if possible. Those above are a must. As for the rest, the cooler looking the better , I don't have any preferences for wood type. The reason I try to avoid locking trems is that I need to change tunings fast and easy. Is there any Ibanez or maybe Jackson that meets all these requirements? -------------------- Guitars:

Well, I know less about Ibanez than you, Fran. In a fixed bridge, thin neck, premium strat type guitar, you might consider the Jackson SL2HT Soloist. Now, it's HH. I've personally never seen a HSH Jackson, but I'm sure they are out there. This guitar is neck through with string through and should sustain while you get yourself something to eat...come back and it's still wailing. Just a thought. FYI, the Dinky's are bolt on necks, the Soloists are neck through body. If that matters to you. And, they of course come in a variety of finishes.
