Beautiful Trond, so full of power yet melodic and emotional, solos at 3:20 are just great. Plus it sounds so "Trondish" if you know what I mean. Really cool. I'd LOVE to hear some of your songs along with a singer, they would rock.

I`m tired of your amazing songs laugh.gif Really, Trond, you composing gets better and better each time ohmy.gif I like how tune develops! Are you using real synth or VST? Sound amazing!

You need to join kickass band to spread your songs worldwide wink.gif Love the solos especcialy and chorus is just epic!

I think on such theme singers with voice like Russell Allen has or something similar would be perfect, no screamo, or growling smile.gif

p.s.- now I want buy synth and learn your song smile.gif

Thanks alot! smile.gif I'm using VSTi's. Dont have any real synth. I stick with vsti's and plotting each note inn with the mouse.
I always have a voice like Russel Allen in mind when making songs.... one of my favourites smile.gif
Or something ala Devin Townsends voice would be fun.

I'm no lyricist but feel I have lived the sort of life your looking for in a way, up's and downs, mistakes, bad decisions etc...( never been to hell though and not planning on going.. laugh.gif ) I'll try and throw some ideas your way. Maybe if others do to, you might just be able to draw off the ideas and put something together from it. smile.gif

Been having a kick around with your track Trond and I must say, the more I listen, the more I like it! smile.gif Here are some lyric ideas I came up with keeping your theme in mind of a man standing at the gates of hell looking back on his life...

At :35 Lost....

Verse: :37

Darkness surrounds me, but they won't take me
Feel my screams, you can't break me
You'll never own me, I'll stand and fight
As hell closes in, am I dying tonight

The nightmares, they wake me
My demons, they shake me
Restless nights, from fighting within
Denying thoughts of my Past Sins
The gates are closing, forbids me to win
What have I done, My eternal life
Is about to begin...

Chorus 1:07

Screaming whispers, heard in the night
Dying souls still try to fight
Could changes made of all that's been,
Have saved me from hell,
And all my past sins....
Judgment calling, I stand alone
Time has ended, I die alone...

Just a few ideas maybe you can work from.

Wow this is verry good as an instrumental track. i am trying to compose songs too, but i just cannot organize ideas, riffs and melody... im still working on it, but its giving me hard time dry.gif

anyway, i really love the progressive side between some riffs, and the lead part, that is really effective without being insanely technical

great job as always smile.gif

Pretty cool man!!
You come up with stuff all the time man, you are really creative!
Always new cool riffs for us!

I think you have a bit much gain, and maybe a bit too weak vibrato, but still I really like this tune smile.gif

Wow, this is song is filled with power and variation ! I especially enjoyed the solo which followed the progression of the song very nicely ! You rock, Trond ! biggrin.gif

... by the way, I found a little sequence in the song which reminded me a bit of The Unforgiven (Metallica)... Am I right ? smile.gif It might just be pure coincidence, and I am talking about the piano near the end smile.gif

Awesome! I knew I had missed some uploads from the past, so I went hunting for them. Great song! Wonderful phrasing! I loved the way the channels briefy went back and forth really fast near the middle.
