> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Thanks for re-recording it, it's easier to hear now.

Ok, your timing is really good during all of it. Chord changes are great.

There still seems to be an intonation issue as the opening notes still sound quite sharp.

For the double stop bends you need to build up your finger strength. Try to practise pulling down whilst fretting both strings together. It will probably make the underside of your fingers feel sore so just do a small bit of practise on that technique every day and stop before it gets too sore. That way you can keep doing it regularly smile.gif

Hi MrUK! Thanks for this new video. Your mix is better now and your guitar can be clearly heard.

There are some differences in the rhythm used for the phrases starting at 00:37 as well as the ones that start at 00:50. It doesn't sound bad but it's different compared to the original lesson, so it would be a good idea to get back to the lesson and tabs to check what's the slight difference that I'm marking.

Besides this details, your playing is strong on this one, tight timing and good tone. You are ready for a trickier lesson. Keep rocking!

Hello mate,

Thank you for taking the time to re-post this one with the backing track, instead of the original recording.

I agree with the guys in respect to the fact that you have a solid timing and you are playing clean, so all you need to do now, is take the time to fix the details that Gabi has signaled and you are good to go with this one. Take a bit of time to slow down the sections he mentioned and make sure you are playing the phrases as they appear in the original recording - there are moments in which we can de-focus and we tend to lose sight of some details wink.gif

Keep rocking!

Cosmin
