The Demons Of Heaven, The Angels Of HellChapter 1: Welcome To Exile
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
We have forced ourselves from sanctuary
sought refuge in an unknown worldOur wings and our horns buried
With the lives we used to leadWe have taken our love to exile
Banished ourselves from prayer
Leaving behind our sinsHeaven seems a bit dimmer today
It's purpose shrouded in tyranny
Angel's face seems a bit unwelcoming
Those pearly gates I walked through...My wings are aching to spreadBut for my child, Not for my God
My horns are aching to burnBut for my child, Not for my sinsWe have taken this life to exile
Heaven is descending
Hell is risingDamnation seems to be the road
Whose path is lined with torches
Demon's face seems to hide a light
Those burning gates I walked through...SOLO
Welcome to exile
I feel so welcomed here
But I know I am not safeWelcome to exile
I feel a weight is lifted
The weight of chainsSOLO
And heaven seems a bit dimmer today
It's purpose shrouded in tyranny
Angel's face seems a bit unwelcoming
Those pearly gates I walked through
Damnation seems to be the road
Whose path is lined with torches
Demon's face seems to hide a light
Those burning gates I walked throughI can feel there presence is ever closer
Heaven is quick to oppress the darkI can feel the heat emanating from hell
Lucifer is quick to challenge the throneAnd a child is the seed of war
Today are our blades turn red
Today our faith is tested© Brett Windnagle, 2008

So what the heck is up with weird font and colors? I'll tell you. This is the first song in a series of 5 (Maybe 6) that follow what I think, Is cool story. So in the first song, there is an angel, and a demon, And they both leave there "homes" behind, Because they have had a child together, and know heaven nor hell will accept it. So as they seek refuge on earth, They begin to have mixed feeling about heaven and hell, they begin to notice something isn't as they have always been told it should be. Heaven no longer seems like paradise, and the supposed road to damnation seems to strike a chord with common sense. But as they try to hide on earth, Heaven and Hell inevitably (spelling?) run into each other, And what happens next will be in the next song.
So as for the fonts and colors?
From a vocal perspective
Bold = Demon (Named Alexander)
Italics = Angel (Named Sarah)
Red = Demon + Angel
