There has always been some sort of required purchase but it looks like it's now about a quarter million dollars worth of Mesa Amps in order to be a dealer. As a result, many shops are just backing off being a dealer. It's going to make it tougher to get a new mesa amp to be sure. Used mesa amps are probably going to get more expensive as people don't seem to trust Gibson to keep their hands off of the Mesa.
