Backbeat Blues, Lesson By Javier Aviles |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Offa!
I like the energy of your rhythm playing. Your tone is as good as the original lesson. The solo sections needs some more work, starting from the mix, I think that it's a bit low in the mix, or maybe your tone lacks some mids presence in this part. Your playing during the solo is not bad but from what I can hear, I think that you need to practice more to have more control of bending and vibrato, and also try to clean the fast trill. I also note that your timing is not totally precise, just compare the first two phrases and you'll see what I mean. The original solo has a "funky" feel that makes it sound groovier. Work on it! -------------------- My lessons
