Hi, if you first start the POD gear box (software) you can select the sound you want to use. If you get sound from your headphones or spearkers you know you're doing it right.
Start your recording software, whatever that may be; if you're new to this maybe you don't have one. Reaper is a popular choice that's also cheap. If you just want to record one guitar and no more there are probably freeware around for you. In your software you select Options->Audio and chose ASIO as your sound driver. Hit record. Play your piece. Hope that helps. Maybe I forgot something but I'm sure you'll get all parts together from the replies you get. EDIT: Your X3 connects to your computer via USB -------------------- My bands homepage
