Hello Alex My goals are becoming a better composer better lead guitarrist and improve my improvisation skills! My weakness are improvisation because lack of know how, legatto and to create smooth transitions between riffs and music parts therefor the questions I made earlier, concernig modulation! "- How could I go from one chord progression to another? - Do I have to use the circle of fifths? - Could you teach me the teory behind it? - I would also like to no more about composition a improvisation!" My strongest points are imagination, will, dedication and hard work! My favorite guitar players are Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme) Dimebag Darrel (Pantera) Michael Romeo (Symphony X) Paul Gilbert Synister Gates (A7X) Slash I hope you can help me with my doubts and weakest points Alex! Cris Perfect! We like the same players! I would like to start with an exercise that will get your hands synced together very well and very fast! We will start getting into composing and playing as well! But it is very important to get your hands in sync! Here is the tab E ||---------------------------|----------------------------------------| Make sure to practice it at a slow tempo using a metronome! This exercise will do miracles and you will see results very quick! Let me know if you have any questions or need help! Thank you Alex for the exercises! But what realy need is help in modulation, composition and improvisation! I play guitar for almost 15 years! and my weakest points are the ones I pointed before! Could you please, be more specific in these subjects? thanks in advance Cris Oh no problem! I just wanted to give you an exercise to work on! So let's start by figuring out the chord progression you need to modulate and in what key you need to go! The easiest way to modulate is by using a 7th chord of the key you need to change to So here is an example: Modulation from C major to A major and back to C major C - Ami - F - G -E7 - Bmi7 - C#mi7 - D - A - F#mi - Bmi7 - G7 - C - Ami - F - G Here is how it would sound: Modulation.mp3 ( 1.1MB ) Number of downloads: 110 I would like you to create your own modulation from G major to Eb major Let me know if you have any questions or need help with anything! -------------------- |
