> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Tim,

This is a very demanding lesson because it has lots of bends and tapping. You already know the elements that you need to improve on this one because we commented about them in your previous take. You still need much work to do with this one. I strongly recommend you to work on smaller sections instead of playing the whole lesson over and over, and combine it with some extra lessons or exercises that are easier but based on the similar techniques.

Keep on the hard work!

Hi Tim. There is a small amount of improvement over your first take but it's too early for any major differences to have taken effect yet. Be prepared to work with this lesson for many weeks as there are lots of subtle challenges in it.

Your bending and vibrato are showing signs of improvement. Continue to work on bending to improve your finger strength and slowly add the vibrato as you get more confident with the bends.

Another thing to challenge you will be the hand coordination. There are a few times where your pick is not in synch with your fretting hand, which spoils your efforts.

The tapping has improved, especially that one near the end. That's a tricky lick and you did a good job of it.

You can do this - just be prepared for the journey smile.gif

Hey Tim! Some of those bends where improved since the last time but I'm afraid there is still a lot to be done with this lesson. Be very carefull to not take away right hand from the strings (before tapping for example) - you release some unwanted noises from open strings. Try to review feedback from your previous take - sometimes it's really worth to read things twice and catch the details. What we experience hear are basicly the same issues like before. Keep up the good work and keep us updated with your progress smile.gif
