ok, I've decided to start this as it gives people who cant record well a chance to be creative in writing with others on here.

I want 6 people to write some lyrics...

Section 1 (2 verses): Owen
Section 2 (2 verses): The Uncreator

Prechorus 1(sum up section 1):
Prechorus 2(sum up section 2):
Chorus:
Bridge: Stevie Ray Vaughan

im not sure if this is going to work as planned, but its worth having a go...
...when the lyrics have been written I plan to write some music (or make another collaberation to write the music) and the people that wrote the lyrics have to sing them biggrin.gif.
if you cant record or dont want to sing tell me when you sign up so i can arrange for someone else to sing your lyrics.

ALSO, if anyone wants to write the lyrics and not sing, i'd be happy to sing it.

eventually we will have a full song made up by many members of the GMC.

this is a first come first serve collab and i will set the "topic" of the lyrics, but thats just a suggestion.

THANKS TO "The Uncreator"
this song has 2 sections, and each "Prechorus" will sum up the dedicated section.

the order of the song will go like this:
Intro
Section 1 (verse 1 and 2)
Prechorus 1
Chorus
Section 2 (verse 3 and 4)
Prechorus 2
Chorus
Bridge
Solo
Chorus
Outro

TOPIC:
The war in Iraq (i know alot of people are effected by this so i thought it would be a good topic, if anyone disagree's please tell me.)

DEADLINE: 31st March 2008

For the verses is there a structure we should follow, Like a 4 line verse, rhyming ABAB or something?

whatever you feel like, i wont be writing any of the lyrics so you'll have to talk with whoever takes up the first verse position for common ground or just set youre lyrics away and let the other person follow your verse as an idea.
totally up to you biggrin.gif
sorry i didnt really think the rhyming patterns through.
the great thing about the length of the verses is that they dont have to be exactly the same, one could be 2 lines, the other could be 4.

Two trips prevented me from seeing this before, but I think it is a great idea.

I would like to participate.
Well, the chorus seems intimidating, but on the other hand no song goes without chorus. So would like to give it a try tongue.gif.

But I would not like to sing it alone, dry.gif . Maybe, doubled vocals or I can take backing vocals?
