Hi guys!

I haven't made a new song for a long time so right now I'm experimenting and trying to make something which would be a mix of neoclassical and modern metal approach. smile.gif Sounds weird but I haven't heard anything like this before so I wanted to give it a shot biggrin.gif

Here's the first version - what I made so far.

The middle section only contains orchestration and drums, I'll fill the middle section with some neoclassical-inspired lead guitar parts later, right now there's just one little solo in the beginning.
As you will probably notice, I took use of the multiple-guitar panning (maybe even overused it? biggrin.gif in one part there's four guitars there stacked biggrin.gif) in the last part, but also in the intro solo.
I'm also not sure about the drums right after the intro solo - it sounds a bit too flashy, maybe I'll put a simpler approach there... It is supposed to have fast guitar parts to serve as a transition to the double-kick theme (the middle part).
The song's far from complete, it will be longer - I'll continue composing after the heavy part...

What do you think? Please point out any flaws you encounter, I'm here to learn wink.gif
Any feedback would be highly appreciated, thanks a lot!

Here's a new version. Now the first part sounds fuller. I changed the configuration of the filter and the amps on the heavy part, but it still isn't as good as the guitar in FrontlineGuitar's video.

I'm not satisfied with balacing the volume channels but I can't listen to this anymore right now, my ears are bleeding!
Too much is too much I guess.
I guess everything could have be recorded and mixed a whole lot better.

Wow D-Man, I am really digging this piece smile.gif Especially the first 1.19 mins, until the heavy bit. I would have liked that part to last longer, another minute or two maybe. I wanted to ask the following: there is a piano section between 0:17 and 0:32 seconds. Could you maybe try to increase the volume of the piano there a bit so it is in front of the drums ? Just a general listener's suggestion smile.gif Otherwise, wow hehe big fan here ! smile.gif

Thanks so much man! smile.gif You are right, the piano definitely needed a boost, but I didn't have the nerve to do it yesterday biggrin.gif
I fixed the volume levels so here's the YouTube version.

I might post a play-through of the song because it's much more interesting to watch that way... We'll see smile.gif Thanks all for great feedback on this one! laugh.gif
