New Song In Progress, Feedback would be very appreciated Options

Hi guys!

I haven't made a new song for a long time so right now I'm experimenting and trying to make something which would be a mix of neoclassical and modern metal approach. Sounds weird but I haven't heard anything like this before so I wanted to give it a shot

Here's the first version - what I made so far.

The middle section only contains orchestration and drums, I'll fill the middle section with some neoclassical-inspired lead guitar parts later, right now there's just one little solo in the beginning.
As you will probably notice, I took use of the multiple-guitar panning (maybe even overused it? in one part there's four guitars there stacked ) in the last part, but also in the intro solo.
I'm also not sure about the drums right after the intro solo - it sounds a bit too flashy, maybe I'll put a simpler approach there... It is supposed to have fast guitar parts to serve as a transition to the double-kick theme (the middle part).
The song's far from complete, it will be longer - I'll continue composing after the heavy part...

What do you think? Please point out any flaws you encounter, I'm here to learn

Man, very nice! You are quite talented and you have some really nice ideas. I would want to see some long epic pieces by you This one ends too fast, making you want to hear more

Glad you liked it mate! I wanted this to be longer too but for the first song I thought to keep it simple® But in the future I will make something longer

Oh yes this turned out quite a piece ! And like I said in previous post that it's really nice to hear different music from GMC:er

Although I was expecting more mixing to the drums and (as a DfH user I notice almost all of those drum fills 'cos I have used them too ).

But hey how do you compose those solos ? They're quite amazing !

Do you just play what comes into mind or plan before hand what to play ?

Haha, yes Drums from Hell are overused but they sound so sweet And I did modify a number of them to fit the song
About the solos - well the basic ideas usually come from my improvisations and messing with the guitar but after I get a solid idea I plan the rest to be fitting! There really isn't a concrete formula in my solos, sometimes I play what I think sounds right with the BT and sometimes I deliberately want to use a specific scale/technique and then play in that direction.

This is even better now you've added some killer solos !

Yay! Now for the next one, which I'll start after the exams. It will surely be a lot different than this one, I want to explore different areas of music with each new song Stay tuned
