Steinberg has a Grace Period. They're giving an update for free. I was lucky to hit the right moment with my latest Cubase 7 purchase and now I could upgrade it to 7.5 for free.

How lucky I am
 Now I'm not gonna update it for next 5 years. Tired of making my old session working on new daw. Don't wanna go through this again...as long as it's not necessary
