I thought this thread was going to be a suggestion of a new forum section where people can post threads about tense and angry things instead !! laugh.gif

Several years ago, I was working on helicopters in Sudan (in what would now be South Sudan. It got rather warm during the day. I would watch thermometer in the cockpit would go up to 50c (a little over 120f), the last number on it, and then go a little further up to the stop (so I don’t really know how warm it would get). The helicopter provided me with shade, in the same way that a Dutch oven provides shade. At night, it would cool down a little, but not much.
One night, I came out of my housing and it had cooled down to a comfortable level, probably around 30c/ 85f. I was wearing my t-shirt, shorts (and, of course my boots to help avoid the poisonous snakes) and I came upon 3 of the locals.

They were standing around a fire and shivering.

I guess it’s all relative.

Of course, the average Sudanese around those parts was around 6 ½ feet tall and weighed around 100 pounds so they didn’t have as much insulation as I do.
